Cancer is a very deadly disease and now you do not need to look any further than your fridge to reduce the risks of cancer. According to many studies and researches done on cancer, point to eating plant-based foods for their phytonutrients and other special compounds.

And in a newly done study by Nutrition and Cancer, it was found that lycopene can stop growth of endometrial cancer cell. Every year endometrial cancer causes nearly 8 thousand deaths. Tomatoes are known to help fight endometrial, lung, prostate, and stomach cancers.
3. Walnuts:walnut
Walnuts have cholesterol like molecules in them called phytosterols. Phytosterols have been shown to block estrogen receptors in breast cancer cells. Meaning it possibly slows the growth of cells. Walnuts are known to fight breast and prostate cancers.
4. Garlic:garlic-with-parsley-leaves
Garlic contains a special compound called phytochemicals in them. Phytochemicals have been found to stop the formation of nitrosamines. Nitrates common food preservative found in garlic also halts the formation of carcinogens formed in the stomach. In a study done by Iowa Women’s Health Study, it was also found that women who have higher intake of garlic have 50% less risks of certain colon cancers than those who do not consume garlic.
